NYC Central Park Wedding Elopement Award

Simple elopements are currently trending, which has resulted in a high demand for experienced elopement photographers who can produce beautiful images from these intimate and private wedding events. Generally speaking, most basic elopements have less than 25 guests, and these marriages center around the wedding ceremony rather than the elaborate festivities and reception parties that can accompany larger weddings.

After 14 years together, Leon and Hsien decided it was time to become husband and wife. Considering the fact that both of them are shy by nature, it wasn't a surprise that they opted for an intimate, quiet outdoor ceremony by the water in Central Park. By staying true to their authentic selves, the bride and groom were able to feel relaxed and comfortable, despite the fact that they were the center of attention.

The couple wanted their wedding ceremony to take place in a remote and peaceful destination — which can be difficult to find in New York City. Fortunately, they found a quiet cove in Central Park, but it took a bit of traversing to get there. Fortunately, Leon was there to help his bride navigate her way over the rocks to the ceremony location.

Knowing that they would never feel comfortable hosting a large and lavish wedding, the couple instead invited their closest family members and friends to witness their personal vows in Central Park.

While the couple was entirely immersed in one another, their two friends stood ready and waiting with the rings during the outdoor waterfront ceremony.

The bride shyly hides her face as she realizes she is about to kiss her husband for the first time in public. While she's not one who is typically comfortable with public affection, she is clearly giddy at the thought of being married to the love of her life.

Feeling relaxed and knowing that they are no longer under the watchful eye of family members and friends, the newlyweds begin their life together with a stroll through the park.

When they were encouraged to be themselves and act as naturally as possible, this couple relaxed entirely. They sat for a casual portrait on the stone steps, and leaned into one another. This portrait is full of love, support and understanding — this is a couple that knows who they are and where they want to be.
